Review of Palindromes (2005) by Roman L — 08 Jul 2009
The movie is about a thirteen-year-old girl who is obsessed with a desire to have a baby so she "can always have someone to love". That was the start, but the story develops from bad to worse.
Tod Solondz as always is incredibly virtuous in showing life in dark tones with the most miserable and disgusting details in his usual dark cynical style. This movie does not have funny moments, except for the culminating scene, but that one makes it! If you like depressive indie movies - this one is for you.
