Many people don't realize that Eastwood's character in this movie is the legendary Man With No Name he portrayed in Fistful of Dollars; For a few Dollars More;The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and High Plains Drifter (the other film people don't associate with the character).
Pale Rider is brillant but tragically overlooked in a era when the western is all but exticnct.
