Review of Pale Rider (1985) by Dave H — 23 Sep 2006
Clint! THE best gunfighter in movie history! Forget the swaggering John Waynes of this world, Clint rocked and still does. Pale Rider adds much to the mythos of the gunfighter, but adds the element of 'history' to the character. Who was he? Why is he like he is? I loved the fact that the character's eyes played as big a part as the gun play. It was like a precursor to The Unforgiven and Pale Rider represented the transition from the older style of western to the gritty modern one.
A very good film and well worth watching.
