Review of Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018) by Tom B — 02 Apr 2018
Has none of the charm, spirit, or fun of the first film. Whether or not it's because Guillermo del Toro isn't directing it, I don't know. But it's a complete disgrace to the first film.
Raleigh isn't here (due to schedule conflicts with the actor), they kill off Mako for no reason, and Charlie Day's character is the big bad because of shit like "oh he was corrupted." If you're made that I spoiled plot points for you, don't be.
I just saved you some money.
