Pacific Rim 2- How can a movie with so much action be so boring?? First of all, I must admit that loved the first pacific rim movie, it is one of my favourite movies of all time. This tine around, the jaegars vs kaijus are back, but without guillermo del toro as the producer.

The result? The movie is an utter mess with paper thin characters, power ranger like jaegar, and a rubbish plot.

The characters- first of all, the main character is so unlikable. He just talks and complains all the time, without doing anything. He doesn't have anything close to the commanding presence of the previous movie's main characters nor the general. He doesn't do anything much but just complains and blame others. The side characters are even worst. Since when did jaegar pilots become a bunch a winy spy kids wannabe. I don't even remember any of their names.

And the jaegars, the first movie had each jaegars have unique personality. Here they feel like power ranger wannabe. Monster appear, jaegar appear, combine to beat them. They don't even feel like they have any weight.

And the plot, please don't even get me started. I was looking at the time half way through the movie.
