Review of Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018) by Jim C — 26 Mar 2018

Full disclosure: I loved the first movie. It's one of my favorite movies, so I might be a little biased. However, I think this movie is better than the first one. The story is better and a little deeper.

John Boyega is a much better lead that Charlie Hunnam was. I was not crazy about the side storyline for Amara Namani. I liked the actress, but It reminded me too much of the side storyline in Transformers: TLK (which I hated).

But if you loved the first one, this one did not disappoint at all. There was some more humor in this, which I think helped even it out and, of course, a ton of robots fighting monsters.
