Where to start... this movie was seriously lacking in all the area's that made the 1st one good. Giant robots fighting giant monsters is obviously a fantasy world but, the 1st film at least tried to take it seriously.
This felt like a PG children's version of a sequel. Way too many cheesy jokes. Way to many kids doing impossible things. I mean, a 14 year old built a jaeger by herself in a beat down garage. Give me a break.
Good action and somewhat entertaining but, it's just not a good movie. Certainly don't go paying to see this if you haven't yet. Wait for the TV release.
