Missing the charm, wit, and cohesion that del torro could have provided. the cast is not as strong, with most of the characters being hard to connect to. boyega is nowhere near the lead that hunnam is.

.. the cgi is arguably worse, and the plot does its best to counter the first movie... that being said it is a fairly fun watch with lots a big robot fighting scenes... so that is something.
