Steven S. DeKnights PR uprising displays what can be described as 'michael bay cinematic envy'... He chose to steer PR away from the 50's monster in a suit mash up and tries here to reinvent the summer blockbuster, fails, and instead drags all the bad tropes along with it.
Although visually stunning at times, the combination of a poorly chosen cast, laughable dialogue, un-engaging plot, and an irritatingly bad re imagining of the first movies excellent soundtrack, for me, make this a true disappointment.
