John Boyega tries his hardest to carry this movie but it's just junk. Cailee Spaeny was pretty enjoyable as the sidekick to John and she's really the only other highlight from this movie. Pacific Rim 2 clearly suffers from not having Del Toro at the helm.
His creativity was a big reason that the first film was so good and without it, They have nothing.
