I'm a little torn about this movie. On the one hand, the plot was derivative and nonsensical, and the characters were boring and poorly developed. On the other hand, GIANT ROBOTS FIGHTING ALIEN MONSTERS!!! Ahem.
This movie takes some of the best parts of Transformers, Independence Day, and Godzilla. Pacific Rim delivers on the action, and, let's face it, you aren't interested because of the plot.
