Lots of beautiful scenery & special effects doesn't detract from this very well constructed prequel to the obviously, and correctly, much more widely recognised Dorothy Goes to Oz interpretation.
It's laugh out loud funny in places and whilst also maintaining its magical charm can often be nicely scary. It's a satisfying film that honours and miss towards its source material well.
