A Masterpiece - I had my sense of wonder engaged when watching this film, as it was more engaging than any movie I've seen this decade, as this movie was impactful, wonderful, unique, and generally just a grandiose but minimalistic joy and triumph of heart, goodness, kindness, and movie magic.
Really awe inspiring and totally a unique moral vision with all kinds of tidbits of heart and joy that really make you think. Smart, ambitious and beautiful. Jaw dropping twists and beautiful modernistic magic, just a little surprising, but in a great and thoughtful, potent, way.
Sam Raimi and Franco and cast and crew pull off a masterpiece blockbuster, BUT there could have been a song or two. The original WOO, is still better, just for being the perfect movie... BUT we are not living in perfect times, so yeah I understand that there were no songs in this movie on purpose, in order to maximize and cram more stuff into the movie that works better than some songs, which would be rock-solid, to have a song or two BUT the movie works better as is, without soulless music, turning the movie into a campy average Disney movie.
I loved this movie, it wasn't as good as Epic, but its still a 10/10 because it was still one of my all-time favs. It's not perfect, but again, that allowed a rock-solid, independent and worthy person like me to enjoy it almost more.
The slipperiness and knows-no-boundaries collapse and create dichotomy (lack of moral perfection, broken pieces, airbending, strength, power, special behavior and special courage and morals) really was a BREATH OF FRESH AIR.
