Review of Overlord (2018) by Ginak — 14 Nov 2018
Be warned – this movie is very violent. But, of course, so was World War II. I was definitely not bored, and the American soldiers were very ingratiating, partly because none of them were in the war by choice (the Nazis were all aggressive brutes, of course).
The Americans and the French were the good guys – and to stack the deck on the French side, we only met a young woman pursued sexually by the Nazi commander, a young boy clutching a baseball, and an aunt disfigured by the Germans.
So, okay, nothing was subtle in this movie, but the film was lively and inventive, and I enjoyed it.
