Review of Over the Edge (1979) by Janetta B — 27 Feb 2012
I'll be the first to say it..kids are fucking little bastards. In youth you are filled w/ such frustration that you have to rebel against everything & anything. Most adults you just can't relate to.
There is only your friends, drugs, alcohol & of course violence. Truthfully you had no one you had to adhere to. You couldn't do hard time & really the worst that could happen is you being sent to juvenile detention.
If you were crafty enough that never happened & you could just run amuck. Over the Edge is an interesting look @ that angst although its difficult where you are actually supposed to lay your loyalties.
It shouldn't be w/ the kids because they are hellions & it can't be w/ the parents because they are so ass wipe. It's not subjective enough for you not to be forced to take sides though.
All in all society is just fucked up.
