Ending off my stint at the VIFF this year is the comedy Outsourced about a sales rep Todd Anderson (Josh Hamilton) who sells tacky.

American crap to Americans such as Bald Eagle Coffee Mugs and US Flag Hats. While he's at the top of his game, he's suddenly informed that US jobs are being outsourced to India. He could either quit his job.

And face the unemployment line like his soon-to-be co-workers or he could extend his career just a bit longer with the company by going.

Over to India and train his replacement.

It's a typical fish out of water tale with Todd adapting to a culture.

And the culture having to adapt to Todd just a bit. It's not as funny as some of the more laugh out loud comedies that we've see in the past few years, however it does have the same sincerity that films like 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up has. The low key star presence helps immensely in making you believe these characters emotions and.

Motivations, with comedy being more about Todd's own culture shock to India and his reactions which are never over the top but good.

It's a small little charmer that has some clever insights with the.

Culture of India and has something that both cultures could enjoy and laugh about. It's coming out for release soon and even NBC picked it up for a TV series slated for next year.
