Review of Outside the Law (2002) by John A — 22 Jun 2013
Queen Of American Martial Arts, Cynthia Rothrock Stars In This Decent & Enjoyable Martial Arts Action Thriller. When Secret Agent Julie Cosgrave (Rothrock) Lost Her Fiancé In A Deadly Military Assignment, She Fled Her Job With The U.S. Government & Vowed To Start Over. When A New Acquaintance Of Hers Is Murdered, She Decides To Stay & Help The Victim's Brother To Take Down The Local Mob, While Still On The Run From The Government.
Rothrock Is On Top Form As Always As She Is Given A Few Decent Fight Scenes. This Also Seems To Be A Better Written, Scripted & Acted Film Than What She Usually Appears In Without Big Chinese Martial Arts Stars. With Some Good Action Sequences & A Nice Slow-Burn Technique This Is A Great B-Movie Action Flick.
