Review of Outland (1981) by Jim S — 22 Apr 2009
Decent space western though the attempt to channel the spirit of High Noon was a little obvious.I found Connery more likable in this than any other movie of his...maybe with the exception of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
Gone is much of the swagger and bravado, and in its place is an humble and honorable father and lawman. Frances Sternhagen is great as are the other actors, but in the end it seems to leave something wanting.
