It has style to spare & the movie flourishes while Denzel Washington & Eva Mendes are on the screen, which between the two of them is quite a bit. The only overwhelming frustration of the film is that Police Chief Whitlock, the protagonist, has brought all of these problems on himself & he should have seen it coming.
