Review of Out of the Furnace (2013) by Leong C — 25 May 2014
Despite the low-rated reviews, this movie impressed me. There is a strong good-guys-lose motif throughout which may evoke anger from an audience. Many scenes left me red faced, but I realized this is part of the effect.
This fits into the growing class of movies with a Death of Detroit feel, so anger and injustice are necessary parts of the equation.
