Review of Out of Sight (1998) by Mark D — 24 Mar 2010
Out of Sight is a tight, well-made, well-acted crime-comedy with a lot of personality and wit. Clooney and Lopez share some fantastic on-screen chemestry and their unexpected romantic relationship carries the film quite nicely.
Ving Rhames and Don Cheadle are also notable side-players, and the film has one of the best opening bank robberies (and near getaways) ever made. Despite being somewhat forgettable after viewing (for reasons that are beyond me), this is a great film that is highly recommended.
