Review of Out of Sight (1998) by Paul P — 30 Mar 2012
Watching this again recently, it is clear that the film has lost none of its charm.
Everything about this film gels for me, from the characters to the music to the lovely colourful visuals, Soderbergh is on top form here and he is playing to the strengths of all involved. This is the best film that Lopez will ever be in and she takes down the perps very convincingly. Her chemistry with Clooney is memorable stuff. Clooney is all charm in this film and whilst he is the star, it is the supporting cast that make this flick, from the likes of Keener and the brilliant Guzman to Cheadle (he is so much fun in this film).
Chuck in a terrific cameo from Michael Keaton who shares a hilarious scene with Denns Farina (do they have shirts that say undercover?) and what you have is a solid crime tale....
