Review of Out of Sight (1998) by Jens T — 03 Apr 2012
Steven Soderbergh's Out of Sight is often seen as George Clooney's breakthrough role at the big screen from being know for his television role in ER. This was the first collaboration between Clooney and Soderbergh of many others to come.
George Clooney play the bank robber Jack Foley who escape from prison in order to go to a rich inmates, Richard Riply (Albert Brooks) houses to rob his precious diamonds. But on his way out of prison he take the police officer Karen Sisco (Jennifer Lopez) as a hostage and who can resist Clooney charm which of course Lopez doesn't.
Out of Sight is a good and funny heist movie where Clooney shows his fullest potent as an actor, along with a funny story, of course it isn't the best, but it still is kind of cool and laid back. Thumbs up.
