Love is bigger than any expectation, than any assumption, than any safety net. Doesn't matter whether we're talking love of others, love of self, love of country, love of land, ... Love just IS, ultimately nourishing and ultimately demanding.
It demands that we risk nothing less than ALL of us, yet returns us to ourselves fresh, changed, and more whole than we could ever have imagined.
