Review of Out of Africa (1985) by Allison K — 19 Oct 2013
Rich, privilege aristocrats lark around Africa seeking authenticity in stylish clothes. I keep hoping the Masai will massacre all the idiots involved in colonial exploitation and environmental destruction, but no.
Much lauded by the kool-aid drinkers of the day (c.f. the New York Times review), the film now has nothing much to offer besides the excellent photography.
