Our Idiot Brother is a movie that is right up my alley. It is a sweet, endearing and heart warming comedy that focuses more on character than it does on laughs. It's got a great cast who all give solid performances, it's well-written, and it is charming as fuck.
It's not a movie for everyone, and many people might find it to be boring or unfunny, but the goal of the movie is not to be an uproariously hilarious comedy from start to finish like This is the End or Anchorman; it is instead meant to be a blend of comedy and light drama for the sake of its characters and story being of higher importance than laughs.
It is unfortunate that it wasn't as funny as it could have been, but even when I wasn't laughing, I was still smiling throughout the entirety of the movie.
