Review of Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016) by Stefano F — 02 Mar 2017
A beautifully directed, shot and written horror film with a great sense of time and place, whilst also crafting realistic, sympathetic characters. Easily one of the best horror sequels to come out in years, the film manages to be deliciously creepy and scary whilst balancing the dynamic of the characters and their depth.
Despite being outstanding for the most part, the goofy, overly silly conclusion had me taken completely out of the story, and left me feeling oddly empty. Aside from that, I loved this spooky flick.
