Review of Otis (2008) by Jeff G — 13 Jun 2008
I may be in the minority on this movie but I really liked it. it's not great but it is good and entertaining. it's not really a horror film to me it is more like a thriller or a dark comedy.
It was nice to see alot of veteren actors on the screen again. the only problem I have with the film is jere burns he is almost in another film or clearly over the top for a sitcom character.
I was hooked from the opening minutes the director tony krantz obviously has talent he made a low buget film that holds your interest from the opening minutes it is filled with inventive ideas. he also managed to make a low budget film that looks like a nicely budgeted feature.
A nice straight to home video film. Ashley johnson has grown up into a capable beautiful actress.
The movie is about a serial killer whose victim escapes and instead of going to the police her family go after him in revenge only they catch the wrong guy. This movie reminded me a bit of The masters of horror episode "Family" this I liked alot more though. I also love how the movie ends with a question and not a statement.
