Review of OtherLife (2017) by Selena P — 02 Nov 2018

I'm not familiar with many modern sci-fi movies, but OtherLife was interesting and had a dark/somber vibe to it. I liked the directing style of the movie and I could see how the thriller suspense of the movie keeps audience in, however, the audience could easily lose the storyline with lack of paying attention.

I, myself felt as if I had to keep rewinding certain scenes because I misunderstood certain things going on, or I was getting confused between the reality events and the virtual events, so if you tend to lose focus easily you might want to watch certain scenes a few times! The plot of the movie has been similar to other movies which in a way reminded me of movies such as The Maze Runner: Death Cure, having to due with the rise of future technology and where it could leave us.

If those types of movies catch your interest, this is the movie for you! Generally, I found it quite interesting and even made me think about if that concept/technology was available to us today. Overall decent movie, I rate it 4 stars.
