Review of Osmosis Jones (2001) by Jacob — 16 Jul 2015
The problems Osmosis Jones has with the internal conflict are nothing terrible. Inside of Frank the audience encounters typical issues with a mediocre children’s movies thin characters, excessive pop culture references, and pop songs all of which are annoying but can be excused allowing children to enjoy the film I know I did when I was a kid.
Unfortunately, outside of Frank is an ugly story. There is no decent animation to back up the poor writing as Bill Murray is forced to play Frank a character who redeems himself in the end but is so unlikeable its hard to connect with.
At the end of the day Osmosis Jones is problematic but no more than a cold something you can easily survive and get through and rarely escalates to the point of a fever.
