Orphee, and Cocteau generally was hugely influential for me when I was a student. We named one of our film collaborations Bees in a Glass Hive after a line from the film. I particularly liked all the camera trickery and effects using an almost Melies-like return to basics.
Testament was an endurance test though - a bit of a pint as we used to say.
