Review of Orlando (1992) by Ed C — 07 Jul 2006
This film is a masterpiece, that follows the hauntingly poignant tale of a young man as he spans a thousand years searching for true love and on the way he changes gendre in order to find the love he so desperatley yearns.
The story and look of the film is wonderful there is an ecellent shot of Ms Swinton as she runs down a narrow alley of 18th century ash trees in a fulll drss, spanning 3 metres in length. This lead me on to TILDA SWINTON she is the most incrediable and talented actress this world has ever seen and I really mean it! She makes the change from man to woman in the film seem the most possible event and shows the miserable yearning within this man as he desperatley tries to re-find his long lost love, this film is an absoloute must see for anyone who deems themself a "movie-fan" and for those who aren't; anyone who appreciates good art and film.
