I liked it. I've wanted to see it since I read excerpts of the screenplay for a screenwriting class I took once. It's a deep movie, but I have seen it done better. As good as it is, it's nowhere near as good as Raging Bull or the Elephant Man which it beat out for Best Picture at the Oscars that year.
