Review of Ordinary People (1980) by Tim M — 16 Feb 2011
A terrific film about dealing with one's emotions after something life-altering has happened, and especially dealing with them as a part of a family and a community. Timothy Hutton's acting was pretty spectacular here--as was most of the cast, but he really stood out.
It wasn't nearly as sad as people had said it was, but it was real. It made you reflect on similar times (of probably much less magnitude) and understand how to express your feelings and emotions in a better way.
