Review of Ordinary People (1980) by Pras S — 25 May 2009
Just saw this circa 30 years after its release (I can still recall having a MAD magazine that spoofed this film lol) and I sincerely enjoyed it; have always been a fan of Donald Sutherland, Judd Hirsch is very good, and it was fun seeing Hutton 'again'.
Film has a very late 70's/early 80's feel to it, something that I personally love (those would be my 'golden years' I guess). In addition, it was my first time seeing Mary Tyler Moore on screen; played the uppity and extraordinarily uptight psychopathologic mom to a 'tee'.
