Review of Oppenheimer (2023) by Kiki_Reviews — 21 Jul 2023
Mindblown (for the lack of a better word). Let this film and the book it is inspired by be a necessary and timely lesson in these times of black and white thinking. Let us be critical of our leaders' ethics and listen to those who understand the science behind their work.
And as always, let us not be deceived by history as it's told by the winners. Question what you're s-/told even when emotions run high. What a beautiful and multi-layered story on greed, power, complexity of ethics, exploitation, and - deep down - human ambition and destruction.
Probably one of the best, if not the greatest, creations of Christopher Nolan that - I presume - will satisfy all film lovers. Very relevant, engaging, emotional, and nuanced film.
