Review of Open Water 2: Adrift (2006) by Travis P — 26 Jan 2018
This film is not based on a true story, I had to google it as I didn't believe people would have been that stupid in real life, I was right. All of the characters in this never seem to try that hard to get back on deck as all the decisions are just so poor and the character Dan has to be one of the biggest idiots I've ever seen.
The whole thing is mainly his fault as, despite the hydrophobic mother screaming, he jumps in the water with her without lowering the ladder and then when they try to do the thing that would have worked he stopped them and somehow managed to stab one of them in the process.
the whole film is rendered pointless when the idiot, Dan, does what they tried to do and at the very end which gets them back on deck but by then everyone else had died in the most silly and unrealistic ways.
Don't get me wrong though this film was entertaining but don't expect anything realistic and serious as it is seriously silly and again not based on a true story.
