Review of Open Range (2003) by Vincent O — 23 Jan 2008
Costner's ego usually demands that he is every frame but this time he has resisted and given the main role to the gritty Robert Duval (and the picture is a lot better for it). Reminiscent of Eastwood's 'Unforgiven', this is a major, epic western and the climatic gunfight is as good as anything I've seen.
A very stisfying K.C movie.
