Review of Open Range (2003) by Johnathon W — 10 May 2010
Well-crafted western that, while a little too long & a bit corny at times, works thanks to its splendid cast (the highlight being Robert Duvall, who's speech in the cafe ranks as one of the best scenes of his career), beautiful direction & art design and Costner's deliberate direction, which builds towards one of the best gunfights ever filmed.
A must for Western fans.
