Onward was so much better than I thought it was going to be, it is my favorite animated movie of 2020, one of my top 5 favorite movies of 2020, one of my top 10 favorite Pixar movies, one of my favorite animated movies of all time, and one of my favorite movies of all time.
The writing and story were exceptional, the story was a funny and heartwarming story about family and the connection between siblings that also tugged at my heartstrings. The story made me cry multiple times towards the end of the movie.
The animation was phenomenal and gorgeous. The character designs were stupendous especially the designs of Corey, Ian Lightfoot, Barley Lightfoot, the unicorns, Specter, Grecklin, Dewdrop, Colt Bronco, Wilden Lightfoot and Laurel Lightfoot.
The voice acting from Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Octavia Spencer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mel Rodriguez, Tracey Ullman, Grey Griffin, and Lena Waithe was outstanding. The music was excellent. This was an A+ movie.
