I wanted to like this film. I tried to get in to it even as my mind was shutting down due to the incredibly slow pace and tiring scene swapping. I wanted to think that Only God Forgives has a message but alas the message was lost or never really existed as we are forced through camera trick after camera trick and endless assumptions that after a while become just as dull as the story that is slowly unfolding on screen.
