Review of Only God Forgives (2013) by Kermit R — 04 Dec 2013
It seems like director Nicolas Winding Refn tried to top the success of previous film outing(also starting Gosling) Drive, but what we end up with is a murky odd little film that, while at times very beautiful to look at, feels oddly empty.
There are moments where all the fixings are in place for this film to say something, something important, poignant, relevant, anything. But in the end it just comes up mute, much like its lead.
