Review of Only God Forgives (2013) by Cliffordcan — 21 Jul 2013

Wow! This is dramatic. I just saw this movie last night with a group of 8 total. All they knew was Ryan Gosling & the director of Drive were back. 2 of them downright hated it, 2 didn't care for it, 2 loved the cinematography, & 2 (including me) loved it.

I thought it was an awesome experience. I say experience because this is not your average Hollywood spoon-fed movie. You have to think. I loved that the director played with all of my preconceived notions.

I think this this movie plays more on the viewer's experiences than the movie plays itself. Find your smartest, most cultured friend who knows how to think for him/herself and watch this movie. You may regret it, but at least this movie made you feel something, which is more than I can say for 90% of the movies out there.
