Review of Only God Forgives (2013) by Nickyblaze — 23 Jul 2013
This film is truly a breath of fresh air in a world full of dense, over elaborated modern plots. The cinematography is by far the most gripping aspect, yet the characters run a close second. Not bogged down by dialogue, the characters are actually able to express themselves and their respective code of ethics, or lack thereof, through there actions.
Refn also has an uncanny ability to tell a story strictly through the use of visuals (which makes sense considering this is a motion picture after all).
