Review of Only Angels Have Wings (1939) by Nate W — 02 Aug 2009
Cary Grant is at his best in this vintage melodrama as a macho pilot who gets off to a rough start with eventual love interest Jean Arthur. The film is a tad overdrawn, but it's worth watching for the daring aerial action sequences alone, which Howard Hawkes directs with exciting panache.
