Some of the aerial shots in Only Angels Have Wings are arresting. One can only imagine how audiences of 1939 experienced them. Although the script is anaemic, the acting is quite energetic. You get not only Cary Grant and Jean Arthur, but also Rita Hayworth, Noah Beery (Rocky on the Rockford Files), Thomas Mitchel (Uncle Billy in It's a Wonderful Life), among others.
The print was GORGEOUS! Two more chances: Sunday noon, and Monday at 7pm.
