Review of One Week (2008) by Chris F — 24 Aug 2009
Patriotic without being brash. Inspirational and heartwarming without being corny or unrealistic. A young man is faced with the reality that he is terminally ill, and deals with it by purchasing a motorcycle and going across Canada to see what he has been missing out on.
In the movie's own words "a direction without a destination". Some nice scenery and tourist attraction shots as well. Love the deadpan narration. Who says you need a big budget, international megastars and media support to make a good movie?
