Review of One Week (2008) by Radek C — 04 Feb 2011
In someways, this wasn't as cheesy as I expected, but in other ways it totally was! I don't know, but I get this feeling that this film is both serious but not serious enough. It's too light and I think that's the problem.
Everything seems to happen with an almost blaze or satirical mood and that just shouldn't be in this type of film. It was just ill-fitting. Joshua Jackson is likeable enough but at the same time he isn't really right for the part.
Additionally, the other characters and the events that occur all seem like odd fits or simply feel odd. Even the music was off. Nothing seems to fit. Everything seems to fit but doesn't seem right.
