Review of One Week (2008) by Brent C — 22 May 2011
If you were facing your own mortality would you be happy with what your life is? That is what this movie attempts to explore. I really liked this movie. At times a little quirky but overall a pretty powerful movie on facing death and how that throws a reflective light on the choices we have made for ourselves.
Joshua Jackson was excellent as the guy facing cancer treatment who sets out on a cross Canada motorcycle trip in which he re-examines the life he has made for himself. Turned out to be much better than I had expected.
Some cool Canadian music highlights the soundtrack with some of the artists themselves popping up during the film.
