Was based on the book Hadassah, which was loosely based on the bible. A decent well done movie. But took many liberties. One suck liberty was the use of the star of David. This symbol wasn't used until the middle ages in relation to the Jews.
The early Jews would have seen the use of the star as an "Icon" or Idol. But overall a decent adaptation.
